We offer a variety of sessions for children aged between 2.6 - 5 years, and sessions between 9.00am-3.00pm Monday to Friday Term time.

We accept the 15 hours universal and 30 hours extended FEE funding alongside 2 year old FEET funding.

🌸SPRING has SPRUNG🌸 This morning we had a walk around the field to identify signs of spring, we smelt the flowers and looked for bird nests up in the trees! We also explored our listening and direction by playing a stop start game, shouting go and stop! And finished our outing with a trip to the park

⭐️📕World Book day📕⭐️ Imagination forms creation- the children loved dressing up as their favourite book characters and reading lot of books too! We also created book related tuff trays such as goldielocks and the 3 bears to encourage counting, sizing and fine motor skills

⭐️🌸Mothers Day stay and play🌸⭐️ We had such a Lovely morning, inviting the Parents and Careers into @greenwayspreschool. We decorated biscuits, made potions, and made lots of lovely memories 🌸💕

We had forest school with Wonderwood Explorers 🌳 we used blackberries to tie dye fabric, we went on an adventure to find mushrooms. 🍄 When we got back we sat around the fire with hot chocolate and cinnamon apples. 🍏🔥☕️

We have been very busy celebrating Diwali 🪔 and Remembrance Day. ♥️ Some of the children walked to the local war memorial to lay a wreath they had made for Remembrance Day. We also designed mehndi patterns and created patterns with coloured rice Diwali 🤲🏼

We had so much fun at our autumn play morning at Greenways. Thank you so much for everyone who helped, made cakes and came along! 🍂👍🏻✨

We are excited to be having an autumn play morning this Saturday 10 till 12 with a bake sale, drinks and craft activities 🍂✨ This year we have a card machine so you shouldn’t have to raid your piggy banks this time 🤣

World Food Day - this year we have explored lots of food in different ways, including touch, smell and cooking. We made fruit flapjacks & they were delicious! We have also discussed our favourite foods and what food we might not like. 🌭🥗🍕🍦🍩

Here at Greenways, we celebrated our Staff Appreciation Day with a special breakfast for our staff. 😋 We think they are all amazing and help our children to grow and thrive! 🌱 Thank you all so much for what you do. 👍🏻✨

Thank you to all our lovely grandparents that attended Greenways to celebrate Grandparents day. We had so much fun and we hope you did too! 🤩

👋🏻 We’ve been busy learning through play. The little ones went on a small walk to learn about road safety 🛣️ and following rules so we can get the ready for a long walk! The older children have been busy playing with our large trucks in the garden 🛻 where we talked about different large vehicles and how they work. Both groups have enjoyed garden play, painting and crafting. 🌳 🎨 ✍🏻

We loved our session with Boogie Beats and we enjoyed lots of dancing! 🕺🏻💃🏼😄✨

We had the best time with @millcottagefarmexperience yesterday! We saw 🐖 🫏 🦆 🐶 🐓 🐑 and Guinea pigs but I can’t find an emoji for them 🤣 so much fun as you can see, the children loved it. 🥰 #farnham #preschool #greenways

We are having a festive play morning on Saturday 26th and we would love you to come!

We've had another lovely morning here at Greenways. We had a visit from zoo lab & we got to meet some hairy scary animals. The lady dressed up as winnie the which & read the book room on the broom. She showed us the following: Rats 🐀 Snake 🐍 Snail 🐌 Cockroach 🪳 Gecko 🦎 Scorpion 🦂 All the children enjoyed learning about the facts then got to touch/hold them.

A massive thank you to Ellie at @wonderwoodexplorers for our amazing forest school session today. The children loved the session and got up to alot! All children used the saw to cut a piece of wood to create there own medals & then they made spiders using conkers. They got messy creating mud pies & created pictures with the bed sheet & paints. 🌳 #forestschool

This term the children have really enjoyed role play & dressing up since being back. This week we have spent alot of time in the garden with our small world activities. We have a new dolls house which all the children have really enjoyed! In the younger groups morning welcome we have been doing some lovely singing practising our days of the week song and listening to our favourite stories. This is really helping with communication, language and listening skills. With our older groups morning welcome we have been speaking about important people around us including all emergency services and understanding what they do to help us. 👮🏻‍♀️ 👩‍🚒

We had a wonderful time at our sports day last term. The children tie dyed their T-shirts in their team colours thanks to @isobel_drummond and everyone had a brillliant time! We also had a water fight at the end with our teachers to “cool down” 😂

We love doing yoga at greenways! Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility and the kids love it too! 🧘‍♀️

We've had a fun morning. A group of children went to the park with Holly and nichola then went into the basketball courts to play some racing games and some ball games. We even had a fire engine visit too! 🚒

Our Gary the Greenways bear has been on a trip to @cadburyworlduk in Birmingham learning all about how chocolate is made and then on to Liverpool to the @walkerartgallery to see lots of different paintings and sculptures. He had a great time!

Our Approach

At Greenways we support the Curiosity Approach and we believe instead of directing children, the curiosity approach is based on child-led learning. Children make their own choices, and work things out for themselves which leads to enhanced confidence, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.

Our approach draws ideas from other philosophies of early education including Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Pikler, and Steiner. It aims to create children who are ‘thinkers and doers’ instead of passive learners who simply follow the direction of an adult.

By creating active learners, we find the children are more engaged in their environment and have a lot more fun. They are in charge of their own development and choose activities which play to their own interests.

WHAT FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?

We provide sessions for children aged 2½ to 5 years, available during term time only.

At Greenways, we accept the following funding options:

FEET funding (for eligible 2-year-olds)
3-year-old Universal funding (15 hours)
Extended funding for working parents (an additional 15 hours)

This means some families may be entitled to up to 30 funded hours per week.
